This is my entry for colorchallenge initiated by @kalemandra.
Today is Sunday. The color of this day is PURPURE.

I like nature and enjoy its beauty every day. This beautiful morning I want to leave you a wonderful image of purple plant. It grows on my window. Unfortunately, I don’t know its real name.
If you know the flower’s name write to me in the comments, please.

My favorite color!

@gitata It is better to grow Iresine next to an east or west facing window. They like the light but direct sunshine will make them stretch and grow straggly. While they look great in containers on their own, they can be mixed with other ornamental flowers to make a stunning display. Good wish from @hamidul

Thank you for such useful information!

Hi @gritata I love your story. "Iresine", the plant species with red leaves.

Iresine, also known as blood leaf, is a beautiful houseplant with deep red stems and leaves. It is native to tropical America and is a member of the family Amaranthaceae.

When grown as a houseplant, it is better to grow Iresine next to an east or west facing window. They like the light but direct sunshine will make them stretch and grow straggly. While they look great in containers on their own, they can be mixed with other ornamental flowers to make a stunning display. Iresine rarely produce flowers, which are small and insignificant as could be expected from a plant with such attractive leaves and stems.

They are very thirsty plants and need to be watered frequently.

Have a nice Sunday. A hug.
