The Cortez Amarillos are blooming in Costa Rica. These trees are marvelous: for 360 days out of the year they are just another tree among thousands; and then, for only five glorious days, they explode with color. Three trees in my neighborhood are blooming right now, so I'll have to act fast to photograph each of them before they fade.
