The Calm before the Event!
From a recent event, called GoTeamImpact!
TeamImpact pairs young children with devastating illnesses together with College Sports teams, who Draft the young children, and spend time with them in hospital, at their homes, and at their treatments. Kids who otherwise spend almost all day, every day with doctors and who are unlikely to ever experience a college campus or being part of a team, can be a part of something bigger.

I want to read a little more on the TeamImpact Shots, but, yes! This shot is spot on perfect for the challenge!

Have yourself a wonderful Sunday!

Bit of a heartbreaking event!

the New England Patriots owner's son, Dan Kraft, was one of the chair persons of the event.
The group pairs the young children with college sports teams that "draft" (really they adopt these kids) and spend as much time with the young boys and girls while they go through treatments for these debilitating diseases and heart wrenching treatments.
These college aged young men and women give so much time and effort. They bond with the young kids. Spend time at the hospitals, in the rooms, lounges, etc during treatments. Provide rides, sit with the kids during times when mom and dad can't make it. So nice to see.
Unfortunately, most of these stories don't end on a happy note. Many of the kids are experiencing such awful diseases, that they rarely have a chance.

Working through the Air Force, I have spent countless hours doing the same, but more with the military members.

My kids automatically started volunteering when they were old enough... I know about those stories and I applaud you for softening the blow where many run the other way.

May God Bless You Richly and thank you for taking the time to explain this heartbreaking, yet wonderful service of love.
