Canna's have lavished and vibrant colorful flowers which brightens up many gardens from summer to fall. They make a beautiful picture when planted in masses along walls or in garden beds. This beauty originate from the tropical Americas and have been cultivated for centuries.
It is a tender perennial which is frost sensitive but pest free. They are excellent for pollination as they attract bees, birds and bats.
They have lush light green, lance shaped leaves but other cultivars have brown, maroon and variegated leaves.
Cannas reach a height of about 120-150 cm and spread 30-60 cm. They enjoy full sun (6-7 hours of sunlight), rich and well-drained moist soil and needs average watering.
