This picture was my cover photo on facebook for a long time and I don't know why I haven't used it for the Saturday purple color challenge yet. I've just now started participating and it's been fun digging through old pictures hunting for material for these posts. This photo was taken at a family home that I lived in and cared for for several years after my grandfather passed away.
It was truly amazing to live in such a beautiful place which I could not afford if I had to make mortgage payments on it even on an engineers salary. Maybe I could (barely) but I'd definitely have been house poor if I had. I am so grateful that my wife and I got to live there for awhile. It was a great life experience.
As as side note this is the most time I've spent on Steemit in a day since I've joined and I've definitely created more posts in one day today than ever (4 I think?). I also spent some time interacting with others and meeting new people. I got a massage this afternoon too so it was a very good day for me.
