Haha well to be honest I don't really remember the name of the place. It is on the South Island. I think it was close to a lake called wanako ? We also went to a waterfall there I remember and jumped from quite high up, it was extremely cold water haha

What a lovely location Dan, you have been to a lot of exotic places it seems. It is amazing how it appears that some of the most beautiful scenes and breathtaking landscapes were born out of catastrophe's. Such as these lands and Islands like New Zealand and Hawaii where volcanoes are prevalent, California and all of the earthquake fault lines and tectonic upheavals, all of the places that have been devastated in the past by glaciers and many more such broken then rebuilt places.

You are absolutely right, and to add to that the most beautiful places many times have the most dangerous animals. There are no snakes though in NZ which is unusual. There were on the other hand sea lions. I almost got attacked by one when I was walking on the beach haha not an animal you are told to look out for in Sweden haha
