Ficus religiosa is consider a sacred tree in India from thousands of year and worship it by giving water with milk.and no one had any permission to cut this tree . also INDIAN highest civilian award Bharat Ratna made on PEEPAL leaf.
As of now in the era of technology we all consider this is superstition act but having a scientific reason behind it,the tree is unique in this universe due to giving 24 hr oxygen
