a solitary cat at the pond - colorchallenge - green thursday

A few years ago in the summer, I heard a noise from the ruin, which stands on the neighboring property, almost like a baby cry. When this was heard again and again after hours, I went to the search for the source. I've found a kitten, maybe three weeks old, laying next to his two dead brothers (or sisters). His mother was not to be seen and probably had not been there for a long time.
The kitten was so small that fit in my hollow hand, completely emaciated and full with fleas.
I took it with me, fed and bathed it, and i removed the fleas with a comb, hour and hour, bc he was too young for chemical flea protection.
The next few weeks the kitten "lives" in a pocket of my jacket during the day and at night beside my pillow.
Today he is a proud, naughty cat, who sometimes wants to be alone, at the pond, right next to the ruin he was born in.
