Hey I think there's nothing wrong with your posts but looking by your background in photography I think you can share your photography knowledge too (techniques and the likes).
Also, you might want to check various photography project, contest, and this one Announcing: APPICS | The Next Generation Social APP | First Smart Media Token!. Also, there's black and white challenge that you might want to do. Trying to comment and interact with users who has the same interest in photography might help.
I'd also point out that interaction matters :) and those are little and simple things I could tell you.
