The fruit you can see here bears the name pear (Pyrus) and they belong to the rose family (Rosaceae). This tree grows on average 10-20 meters in height. Pears have been known to humans for a few thousand years and according to estimates, there are currently over 5000 different varieties known. Pears can be eaten raw but can also be processed to dine, juices and much more. They are considered as a very healthy fruit because of the ingredients. Included are e.g. Vitamin A, B and C and other minerals. Pears have a nerve-strengthening effect and stimulate the metabolism.
