Tuesday Orange

Sunset with the dolphins

Taken in the Maldives on my Canon 6D earlier this year, we'd just head out on a boat and stopped to watch the sunset. The captain started whistling to call the dolphins and, lucky for us, tens of dolphins came to play, flipping in front of the glowing, orange sky.

I've since heard all sorts of different reasons as to why they flip out of the water. Some people say they're being playful, others say it's to express emotion, others even say they use it to take the attention away from their young. Either way, I'm grateful to capture the moment.

With love,
Faye

Haha, yes! It looks a bit odd in the lighting, but that's a dolphin mid flip

Thank you both!

beautiful image !

Thank you :-)

great capture!

Thank you!

That is an awesome picture! The clouds are even kinda shaped like jumping dolphins. To cool.

Even the cloud kind of looks like dolphin or whale tale

What wonderful timing you had to capture this dolphin in mid-air and that sunset is stunning! The cloud actually looks like a dolphin's tail headed back into the ocean @fayehalliday
