Our dog Rocky passed in February and I was able to find this spot for him that overlooks our creek and tunnel under a Douglas Fir tree. In early March I spread bunches of wildflower seeds over the burial mound and we now have a mass of wildflowers. The poppies came up en mass with various colors of pink, red, and an orange here or there interspersed with dozens of other types of flowers.
I will be making a memorial blog entry for Rocky... just have to mentally be ready for it.
I miss my Rocky.
