Ok, so it's not crypto currency but....

See the pretty vibrant currency notes for Australia. Even just looking at these notes makes you feel happy even when you only have $5 dollars in your pocket.

When I first went to Australia I didn't realise that they had this plastic money. It felt odd and not like the money I was used to but knowing how colourful it was definitely was a pleasing moment...

Then it was the UK's time to pick up on a long time needed trend to start manufacturing a more secure and longer lasting currency note.

I must say things started well with the all new £5 notes, keeping in tradition with the blues all the banks started producing their notes and some are truly beautiful to look at with their varying designs.

Quite excited then that the new polymer £10 is being unveiled only to be quite disappointed. Whilst the content of the note is noteable (highlighting the life and works of Jane Austin) and is truly worthy etc depicting British history as you would expect it has fallen short on my expectations in terms of colour. It's somewhat lacklustre and flat - compared to the notes across the pond I feel the flooring is about as gloomy as the British weather 95% of the year 😂

A plus point and kudos for them doing this is the introduction of tactile elements to the note and will be on all new polymer notes from herein (exception of the £5). This tactile note has Braille like markings so those who are visually impaired or registers blind can tell what note they are giving and receiving...how cool is that!

I know not everyone will agree with my take on this and I fully appreciate the benefits in this new money along with accepting the slight negative sides that have come out such as using animal fat / products etc in their manufacture but comeon Bank of England and other banks....please give us some happy money...something cheerful and colour-rich with the next one!!

Nice bank notes, however, you should know that the Steemit community is not very fond of fiat currencies...

To be fair, the post was written not for the value in the money, just to emphasise how much the colour of money can change moods and make people feel happy or deflated and sad...
