Red Crafts

Since being on Steemit and following people such as the talented @cryptocariad I'm getting more and more interested in getting back to some painting and crafts.

Now is not the best time for that though as my supplies are in the attic and it's like hell's inferno up there at the moment.

First thing I'm going to do, when it cools down, is have a really good clear out up there.

I'm toying with the idea of selling some of my paintings and supplies, my vintage paper ephemera for example, via Steem Shop or Steembay. I will need to look into both these avenues and see if it's worth it, once I take into account the cost of postage.

In the mean time here's some red crafty pics I've chosen for @kalemandra's daily color challenge.

To the crafty amongst you . . . what would you make with these? 😁

I like the red computerized sewing machine. It looks sporty. Like a fast car

It looks sporty. Like a fast car.

It does a bit @steven-patrick but as i don't know much about sewing machines I'm not able to tell if it's a "sporty" model or not. It looks pretty basic to me.

Also, as far as sewing machines go it's not really that expensive. 😁

Thank you so much for the mention @gillianpearce; I really like the red theme items you've chosen.

So can the computerised sewing do your own embroidery designs? That's one I would like : design things and get the machine to produce a truly professional finish...
I would make 'winning' show rosettes with all the red ribbons of different widths - I'd have to do the pleating by hand though which would be a bit haphazard.
As for that thick yarn I would make heart-shaped hot pads :D

You're so creative @cryptocariad!

Thanks so much for your comments. I really appreciate them. 😍

I'm not sure if you can do embroidery on that machine. I'm actually surprised you can buy a computerised one for that price. I though they'd be more expensive. Especially since I took this photograph in a shop that charges top prices for things. 😊

Where would you use your winning show rosettes then? Do you run shows locally?

Thank you @gillianpearce.. and it's a pleasure :D
Normally when a new machine model comes out they want to get rid of 'slightly older' machines so I reckon that model got superseded by a 'more expensive / advanced' one... I dream of having a go on a coverstitch machine - to finish knitted fabric eg in t-shirts in a more professional way ...

There's always shows around : sheep/horse/cattle/dog ... whatever plus the village fairs will give rosettes. Schools use them as well for their sports days ( but it's too late in the year for that). I don't make them now as I don't have all the equipment but it was fun surviving all the hectic production !

I love that red sewing machine.

If you start doing any needlework crafts we’d love for you to share. 😊

Thank you @crosheille.

I might get around to some knitting one day but other than that I'm more of a paint and crafts person. 😊

You’re welcome~. Okay sure 😊
