Three Purple Irises
These irises were just some of the many I photographed on my visit to the RHS Garden Rosemoor in Devon.
There seemed to be a lot of purple ones and I wonder if this is the most common colour for them.

Some might argue that this one is white but, as far as I'm concerned, purple is the dominant colour!

This iris is the type of iris I remember from my childhood. We had it growing in our front garden. 😊

First one is the prettiest. Last one is the purplest :) First one looks like the one I posted recently. Maybe I should study up on iris names haha

Violet is a spectral color, while purple is the mixture of red and blue pigments.
Purple is associated with royalty, magicians and religious leaders. Add a little pink and it's a color for erotic seduction.
