Delicately Purple

Walking back to the car after a party for my grandson's first birthday I spotted these delicate purple weeds growing in the cracks of some steps.

These little flowers grow in any spare crevice they can find but I thought they looked particularly pretty here, with the contrast of the fresh green and old straw like grass.

I'm always fascinated by flowers that are considered to be weeds as, like these, they are often quite pleasing. It just seems to be their abundance that gets them classed as weeds. It doesn't seem fair really does it? 😊
