This is what they call a Pomelo - Som-oh in Thailand it's basically similar to a Grapefruit only it doesn't have the sourness or bitterness like a grapefruit it's actually got more of a sweet-sour taste and not as messy to eat as a grapefruit. It's a thicker skin and holds itself more intact when you are peeling it to eat. I eat one every day and even use the juice as a infusion mixed with water just superb.
Haven't seen a pomelo in tree. Not until now thanks to the photo. 😄
