ColorChallenge - ThursdayGreen - Number one public enemy or wonderful herb?

Good morning dear Steemies, today is green, ThursdayGreen!
The plant you see bellow is in illegal status in Hungary and if it can be found in someone's garden, the owner can get a serious punishment. No, it's not cannabis (That's also illegal, even medical cannabis). This is ragweed (Ambrosia), a beautiful plant that generally grows in such areas, where the soil was moved, like in construction sites or not cultivated arable land. But it can occur anywhere, anyone's garden.
Why is it illegal and forbidden? Because of its pollen, that has an allergene effect for the respiratory system, generally causes "hay fever". One third of Hungary's population is allergic with ragweed !

I was also allergic, very-very seriously and it lasted for 10 years! Every August and September, i had a running nose, itchy eyes, asthmatic choking. I remember when I got into the allergic examination after half a day staying in the waiting-room, the doctor quickly made the allergy test and automatically prescribed Zyrtec. She said i have to take this medicine for my lifetime, because allergy is uncurable.

I was so desperate, so the symptoms got much stronger. My eyes were particularly bad, burning and terribly itching. Otherwise, I didn't want to take the medication with serious side effects. I turned to alternative medicine like homeopathy and bioresonance, with little success. I remember the symptoms appeared after August 20, and they lasted until the end of September or mid-October. I was already terrified when bloom was far away yet. That time i worked at a big excavation area as an assistant in Gorsium, surrounded with ragweed.

Dependency, fear, and anger characterized me at the time, i was unpatient and i had outbursts of anger when something failed. In that case I crashed anything, especially plates and glasses. I could not accept my situation and hated myself. Of course, i blamed other people and things like ragweed. I ate haphazard, very unhealthy junk food like Maggi and Knorr instant soups, Chio chips, other preserved food and Milka chocolate - one bar per day! I was a taste-dependent, because these food were full of sodium-glutamate which is a flavor enhancer that mislead the senses and damage nervous system. Well, what a vicious circle!

My bioresonance doctor suggested me letting out any such food, and eating fresh veggies. Any sweets and sweet fruits were also forbidden, lemon was the only permitted. I've been temporarily improving, but next year I was allergic again!

At that time I met people who said that the whole syndrome was of a spiritual origin. It was in 2010, and i began to work on myself. My first task was to stop hating ragweed, and begin to love it. They recommended to eat it before blooming. That was very bitter, but sugar was forbidden. I went to clean places and took ragweed. A part of them was dried to make herbal tea in the winter. I gradually let go of my fears and anger and forgave many people. It wasn't an easy way, but it was worth it.

Very interesting. I didn't know so many people in Hungary were allergic to ragweed. My son has many food allergies and allergic to dairy, eggs, wheat, peanuts, nuts, shellfish and fish. We haven't tested for environmental polluents, but now I'm interested to find out. Have you tried local honey to calm your symptoms?

No, i only ate ragweed or drank ragweed tea. Now I'm without respiratory symptomes, but suffer from mosquito bites with swelled arm, pain and itch. Looks like a wasp bite, but i know it's only a mosquito!

Hello! Thanks for the support for my messages, it helps me a lot! And thanks for subscribing)
An interesting story in this post. I know that many people in all countries suffer from allergies. I have friends who go to Europe in the spring to avoid allergies to birch flowers. I heard that you can now treat allergies. There are injections that create immunity.

Allergy is a civilisation desease, as overweight and diabetes. There are of course physical and mainly spiritual reasons of them. Physical: bad food, bad air, motorisation, no walking, no excersizes. Spiritual: fear, anger, childhood traumas, frustration, dependences, envy, malice, agressivity, etc.

Wow I never knew such plant exist. I have questions please. How is a meal prepared with it? The allergy is only airborne? What happens to the plant if it grows on its own like weed? Has it power been harnessed for more productive use other than herbal tea? Thank you
