Hello friends, it's my first publication here !!! and I want to do it with the image of this beautiful girl (my daughter) accompanied by these very nice sunflowers that parade with her warm yellow color.
Sunflower (Helliantus annuus) is also known as Texas corn, giant, sunflower, lampote and polocote. Its height can go from just over one meter to three meters, this plant is currently renewed.
As its name indicates, it turns towards the Sun to better capture its light every day, it's wonderful, right? it wakes up and moves towards the Sun, following the star in its route from east to west, like the hands of a clock. but there, it does not finish its task because at night it returns to do it in opposite sense to wait for its exit in the morning of the following day.
When the time passes when the maturity arrives they stop their dance.
Although treated as weeds they play an important role: their ability to grow in all kinds of environments and their resistance to drought allows them to invade degraded sites, where they stop the soil. Also, as they produce a lot of nectar, they attract large pollinators.
The flower of sunflower is used for the adornment or as forage, while the seed is extracted flour and oil, which are very beneficial due to its large amount of polyunsaturated fats; In addition, the seed is used for making soaps, cosmetics, detergents and even, in some countries, as fuel.
How interesting that sunlight follows to maintain the essence of its color
