Hello fellow steemians,

Today there will be some pics from last summer for you - and out trip to Portugal.

First a citrus tree

Then a cork tree
The number 4 means that the tree has been "harvested" 2004

Did you know that Portugal produces 75% of all cork in the world?

Thanks to AlSafari to bringing us to these places!

This is my contribution to the Thursday Green Color Challenge, hosted by @kalemandra.

Beautiful post dear friend. Interesting information, that Portugal is one of the largest producers of cork in the world.
This tree I did not know.
Congratulations

Thanks a lot @josferod2!

They even make bags and shoes out of cork - I should have gotten some (but they aren't cheap)...

Love those cork oaks.

Thank you @melinda010100!

It was actually really nice to stay in their shadows!

What a cool dad you are, with the interesting travel for the kids.

Thank you Denise!

I have a least gotten my daughter interested in different kind of food (she tried out the octopus in Portugal)

I guess my son would need a little bit more "action" - he liked the safari last year - this year just walking around Verona & Venice was boooring :)

Great photos, my favorite being the cork tree. I love those as I see them all the time, when I'm visiting the French Riviera.

Thanks @pipurilla!

It is actually amazing how long it takes before the cork tree starts to produce proper cork - it is a lifetime investment!
