Color Challenge: Thursday Green - Caterpillars in the Garden

"There is nothing in a caterpillar that tells you it's going to be a butterfly." ~ R. Buckminster Fuller

This is the caterpillar of what will become the Black Swallowtail Butterfly. Photo taken in my garden in 2015, munching on my Parsley... I always plant extra's for the butterfly caterpillars.

And this is the same caterpillar in its chrysalis...

And, this is what the newly emerged butterfly looks like, only minutes old when I took this photo... not exactly 'green' but I thought those who didn't know what that funny looking green caterpillar will turn into would enjoy seeing the dramatic change.

"The butterfly counts not months, but moments, and has time enough." - Rabindranath Tagore

I'm new at this, hope I'm doing it correctly - if I'm not let me know ;-)
