Okay guys, this might not be the best picture for a colorchallenge, BUT it does have blue in it, so it counts, right?!

This is a super cool loft bed we built for our youngest son last summer. Usually, the bed goes on top and the play area is underneath, but he wanted it the other way around. It was made with 2x4's, 2x6's, plywood, and carriage bolts.

Now, this isn't just a bed, it is also a play area for my super active boy!

We have added a few things since then, like a cool, bright red shag rug to pad the top floor, gymnastic rings to dangle from, and even monster legos to build a wall around the bottom!

Super awesome bed for a super awesome kid!

He has a fantastic area to burn off his energy inside the house now, and he and his siblings make great use of it.

This is actually the third loft bed we have built for our kids. We got the plans for them, years ago, from this website. They are not free, but we feel we got our money's worth. These beds are not hard to build, and are STURDY as can be!
