Stay in bed or shoot some Red?

I'm an insomniac of epic proportions - always have been.

So the other morning, instead of just staying in bed and feeling sorry for myself, I dragged myself into the shower and headed out to get some of that 'Golden Hour' light I hear so much about.

About 20 mins walk from my place there's a traditional Tin Hau temple, dedicated to a Chinese Goddess of the sea. This shot was slightly past the magical golden hour, but the light was still 'nice' and now I see why everybody raves about these two times of the day. 

The colour red is ubiquitous in Chinese culture as you all probably know already, but it really is everywhere when it comes to traditional religious ceremonial practices.

This is my favourite pic from that morning the other day. The joss sticks inside the jar are basically incense sticks and can be seen burning just about anywhere there's an offering to the Gods and deities. So here it is.
