My entry for Wednesday Yellow is fresh eggs from our teenager chick who just started laying eggs. She was the sole survivor this spring from a Skunk attack. So she is very special to us and what a great layer already! Everyday she lays a beautiful small dark brown egg that has a yellow yolk in it. That is a little usual as sometimes it takes awhile for the yolks to form in the newly laid eggs. In time the yolk color will go from yellow to a pretty orange because they free range on our hay grass & eat yummy bugs.
A comparison between the young chicken's egg and our mature chickens.*
