There are some awesome stories about the lake.
Convicts from a nearby city escaped the prison and hid near the lake.
That's probably why it's named that.
There were several drownings here as well.

This was a moderate trek from the parking lot.
There was no one around and it was just so quiet and serene!
The water was so clear, the pebbles were visible.
But it did get too steep too quickly!
It was very deep just after two steps into the water!
No wonder people so many people drowned!

Gorgeous blues and what a beautiful lake, sad people have drowned there but I guess most beautiful lakes will have that history as well
