Took this in one of the Neighbour's garden the other evening
Lavender has to be one of my personal favorite flowers
Now I don't have a macro lens at the moment this was shot using my Sony A500 using the 24-240 lens and an extension tube a cheaper option until I can afford a macro lens
They can be tricky to use but are fun to play with

I bet it smalls lovely!Just yesterday my husband and I visited Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island, near us in Florida and found a gift shop that sold everything you can think of that's made of lavender. Oh, it smelled nice in there! It reminded me of my grandmother's house!
It's too hot for it to really thrive here, but I will try again sometime.

They used to use it back in the old days in the wardrobes and clothing cupboards to keep everything smelling fresh. All you have to do is cut a few sprigs place them in the drawer and voila. Sweet lavender every time you go for your socks or unmentionables lol

Nice! I love lavender, the smell is so soothing. Have you tried using a reversing ring instead? They tend to run between $10 - $20. What they do is allow you to put a lens on your camera backwards. Its a similar idea to looking the wrong way through binoculars, but with lenses it makes everything super close.
Its a very cheap way to do macro :)

Great lavender colour and nice depth of field photo. I always get mixed up with these hues? Mauve lavender even purple look so close in hue to me. This is defo lavender.

Yes I do agree I see blue , purple any color between them for me is a purply blue or a bluey purple Lol so I generally skip the indigo and purple challenge:)
