Picture was taken today at Whim Estates in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands.

I was sitting in our truck thinking about the #colorchallenge and was wondering if I had any old picture(s) in the cell phone to use.

I then spotted some flowers in someones yard and asked Sammy, "Are those RED flowers?" He said, "Yes."

I still could not tell what type of flowers they were (I have bad vision when it comes to distant objects).

As I get out the truck and walked towards the flowers, I realized it was the HIBISCUS flower (mallow family - Malvaceae).

I immediate SMILE.

The hibiscus flower is one of our island's (St.Croix, St. Thomas and St. John) symbols.

Everytime I see the hibiscus flower, I KNOW I AM BACK HOME.

After living away from home for 25 years, mostly in the mainland, it's great to be back.

YES, I live in St. Croix U.S. Virgin Island!!!
