Yeah, those are real...

You know... you don't really think about how hard it might be to take a picture of both of your hands with a smartphone, until you try it...

STEEM is LIFE!

I'm approaching my 1 year anniversary in just over 2 weeks, and couldn't be more about this place than the day I got here! I'm utterly in love. I've been a full-time Steemian for about 3 months now, and enjoy every second of it. I pay all of my bills with crypto, and hope I never have to go back to working a full-time job for someone else. This is the greatest way to earn a living in my opinion. I work on my time, and have the freedom to choose how I work, and what I do. I've seen a fair amount of success since joining, something I'll talk way more about in a couple weeks, and can't wait to see what the future holds!

Why'd you do that, Sweeney?

I get a lot of mixed reactions when showing my fellow Steemians this tattoo, the most common being an almost surprised reaction of "Wow, you're committed!", and that couldn't be more true. I also have many people ask me why I would get something so permanent, and what I'd think about it if Steem suddenly shutdown...

My answer is always the same. If the Steem Blockchain died tomorrow, I would still tell my grandchildren about this incredibly ambitious social experiment. Steem has already changed numerous lives around the world, including mine. It has made millionaires of normal people, and has been the catalyst for amazing initiatives to help those in less than fortunate situations. I have made friends here who live all around the globe, something that's much easier to do here than any other social platform I've ever experienced.

Understandably though, not everyone sees Steemit for what it can be. There are certainly some issues we need to work out on the technical end, and the community side, but this baby isn't even two years old yet! If you're someone like me, who has almost too much faith in this platform, I truly believe your confidence and trust in Steem is going to make all of your dreams come true in time.

When I reach 1000 SteemPower, this baby's getting an upgrade!

I'm still quite a ways from hitting it, but I've decided that when I finally hit my 4-digit milestone, I'm getting these filled with UV ink, and they will glow under a blacklight! I have plans to start massively increasing my SteemPower over the next few months, using my tattoo upgrade as an incentive for saving up.

Do you have a Steem-tat? I know I'm not the only one!

I know there's more blue ink out there, and I want to see it! Do you want a Steem-tat? Let us know in the comments! I'll help you find a designer, and help you raise the funds to get it done! Steemit, and sites like it, are the future of social media, blogging, news, and more! Become a walking billboard like I have, and let's show the world what kind of change our Blockchain can create!

This should be tagged #wearyoursteem for @el-cr's contest if it isn't already :D I don't think too many people can top that!

Funny Story:

The #wearyoursteem initiative is actually yet another one of my crazy ideas! :D

It came about in the Whaleshares post promotion a while back. When I first got these tattoos, @el-cr was so inspired that he shaved a steem logo into his hair! I proposed that the two of us partner together and create an initiative to promote and reward people who wear their steem logo proud. Of course, not everyone is as crazy as I am, and willing to get SteemPower permanently infused into their body, and the idea is more along the lines of clothing and accessories. He's done an awesome job of building hype, and I'm busy behind the scenes getting some merch together to give away for the #introduceyourself post for @wearyoursteem!

I don't know why I didn't include the tag on such a duh post, but it's certainly there now :D

Thanks for the mention, good things are coming for this tag to go to the moon!

I guess there isn't always a very clear line between being really passionate and being a bit over the top, but I am not getting the crazy Steemit tattoo guy vibe from you yet :) At least you didn't put the green Steemit Inc tattoo otherwise you might get a lawsuit :D

I know the guy who put implanted the chip on a public transport card into his skin, so I am not too shocked at people who understand technology enough to pioneer interesting ideas: http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-06-28/opal-card-meow-meow-implant-could-be-deactivated-by-authorities/8658986

But something like infusing Steem Power into your body, I am going to have to read up a bit more about it. Anything to help me not forget my password is worth considering :D

I've considered it, but my friends and family are already worried I'm in some sort of cult :)

LMAO! If we're in a cult, I'm ready for the kool-aid :D

LOL welcome to the team bro!

I am ridiculously excited, enthusiastic and epically hyperactive about this awesome blockchain and I did not think I could get any more "ramped-up..."

And then I go and read this! Oh man...You got inked! Crazy? Maybe. Committed? definitely. Oh I cannot wait for the uv ;)

Due to health reasons I don't drink anything fizzy...But if this is a result of that there Kool-Aid...Save me one too. Yes this does feel like a cult sometimes, but in the best possible way. Tonight I experienced this amazing community coming together for someone going through a really tough time. I re-steemed if you are interested. We blew up Discord it was amazing and touching too!

If Steem died tomorrow your tatt would serve a reminder of where it all began..."Another way, a better way."

3 months full-time? You are living the dream that I envisage I am a way behind you in my journey but I can't wait to catch-up and join you.

Take great care and may the journey be bloody magnificent (and ultra-violet) :D

STEEM is going to change the world. Many of us know it, and the ones who put faith in it will be justly rewarded.

Whaaaaaaat? Crazy man. I like steemit...don't think I'd go as far as tats. :) Updoot for bravery.

That's a commitment, your tattoos are great, I hope you can help many people in the community grow with that power.

Thanks! I do what I can.

Looks nice bro, it hole nicely!

Hey, just wanted to let you know I gave you an upvote because I appreciate your content! =D See you around
