These are photos I took a year or two ago. I am glad that I have them, for other such photos are no longer possible. The tree is gone. This beautiful maple tree graced my neighbor's yard for as long as I can remember, but she had it removed recently. I haven't spoken to her yet, so I don't know if the tree was diseased and in danger of falling, or whether she was merely tired of raking the copious amount of leaves it generated. But it was beautiful, one of the prettiest trees in the whole neighborhood!
I will certainly miss the blaze of firey, yellow leaves that lit the sky like a bonfire every autumn!
