I initiated a brown color challenge the other day...
Here’s my brown #crappyday photo.

I haven't been on any of my Sassy Gal Adventures lately. I missed out on kayaking and going to some botanical gardens this past week. My adventure partner didn't feel very well. I was disappointed...but life happens. (Follow me @unicornquiffe for those fun posts!)
So instead I have been doing some not so fun stuff like reorganizing and cleaning.
Yesterday I was on a roll cleaning the bathrooms. Until...
First, in my son's bathroom I dropped the bubble bath in his toilet.
I attempted to grab the dry end of the bottle...and dropped it a 2nd time so that the WHOLE thing was completely wet when I fished it out.
Then I dropped the toilet bowl cleaner in the same toilet!
I breathed through my frustration, fished it out, finished scrubbing the john and moved onto the next bathroom.
As soon as I stepped into the 2nd bathroom I accidentally dropped the bowl to the toilet brush in there. I was so done.
I was feeling annoyed but I thought of this challenge.
What could I find that was brown that might cheer me up in the end?

I recalled these All Star VIP passes I made for my son's birthday a few months ago. The left over tags are hanging up in the "craft/office" room.
His birthday party was football themed (with an expansive taco bar!)
It was a great day.
The passes remind me of that day and how I always put a little extra touch of love and creativity into everything I do and how much my son appreciated the effort to make his day special.
Crappy things happen to all of us. We have bad days yes. But we also have good days. Beautiful days full of love, people who appreciate us, and when we're lucky enough...laughter.
Remembering that day spent with family and friends celebrating my boy's birthday reminded me that shiznet falling into the toilet (or WHATEVER!) does not define who we are. We are defined by the love that we accept and the love we give others.
In a year, I probably won't remember the toilet incident. If I do....well, it's now a funny story to share. It happened. It's done. I choose to focus on the positive.
With this post and this challenge specifically I can turn something crappy (almost literally....I mean there were toilets involved) into something humorous and enjoyable.
