I snapped these while on a walk last week. The entire path was flanked with them. They grow about a meter in height and I honestly cannot tell you what type of flower they are.
This is a view a little bit down the path.
This is the typical nature view one would find throughout the southern portion of Ontario, Canada. This path is actually very nicely maintained and I'm pretty sure they ship in gravel once in a while to cover the rough portions. Right before getting to this section I passed through some very loose gravel that seemed freshly-deposited.
