@swerdan and I took a trip to Penang, Malaysia last weekend by car from Kuala Lumpur. It was one of the most serene drives I've taken in a while. I loved the view of the mountains, and being away from the major cities awarded us with fresh air to fill our lungs.

This photo was taken of some sort of symbiotic vine/flower that grew on the trees located in Penang's Botanical Garden, not far from George Town on the island. There was no placard to be found, identifying these flowers, but they held my attention for quite a while and the bees seemed to love them. The center pieces grew out flat and parallel with the ground. Definitely one of the strangest flowers I've encountered.
