Emergency response teams under pressure

For quite many years I was involved in training emergency response teams of gas service companies. We organized one-week-long courses for them focusing on problem-solving and cooperation under extreme pressure. We created different conditions, where they had to solve unexpected and sometimes physically and/or mentally demanding tasks. We made them work together in teams, which enhanced cooperation and common thinking in these groups.

These trainings were focused improving stress coping abilities. This is very important, because under extreme pressure even simple tasks can mean a challenge. So practice makes perfect in this case - we tried to increase stress tolerance level and adaptability in order to maintain effective cognitive skills during pressure. It was a very tyring program, but a very creative and uplifting, too.

Here are a few photos just to illustrate the atmosphere. With these snapshopts I would like to join the #colourfulphotography contest by @photocontests and @juliank.

Important work, although the second last photo looks like they are dancing!

LOL - that was also a task: they had to cross in a special way... :-)
