It's one of the main tourist destinations of Buenos Aires: the street is famous for its colorful wooden buildings, reconstructed in the fifties, according to a project by the painter Benito Quinquela Martín, a project inspired by the original style of the houses of “La Boca”, neighborhood of immigrants, that commuted the place into an "open air" museum, inaugurated in 1959.
