Self Defense Against Robbers - What To Do and What Not To Do?

To defend yourself, you have to understand where you are and what you can do in that situation. One technique will not work in every situation. You need to understand the situation first before making your move. You can attack first or you can respond to the attacker and counter-attack.

I usually share videos so that it would be easier to explain what I'm trying to say. Sometimes I have a different opinion. That's my opinion. Of course, that's not the only way to deal with the situation. You can do many things.

There are great martial artists out there. I respect them. I am sharing different things about martial arts and self defense. Hope you will find it useful. And some of you will take action to learn martial arts. It might save your life one day.

You see a girl riding a bike. Two robbers follow her and then they come to the side. One of them pulls his gun and says stop. She does something every smart. She suddenly stops the bike. The robbers also stop the bike. It happens suddenly. When they stop, his gun is not pointing at her. She takes advantage of this moment and throws her helmet towards them.

This is something they might not expect. Not only that, she all hits their bike with her bike. It makes them fall down. Then she attacks the robbers. There is a critical moment in this situation when the robber points his gun to her again.

She kicks on his hand that holds the gun and then kicks to his head. Well, If you can kick to the attacker's hand, disarm the gun and save your life, that's okay. But I have a different opinion when it comes to defending yourself in real life.

You might be in trouble if you do something like that. Why? It is because when someone holds a gun, all he has to do is to pull the trigger. Then you can easily guess what will happen. She already attacked them. So there is a high chance the robber will shoot her without thinking about it in a second time if she does not co-operate.

So what can you do in this situation?

If you want to do anything, first of all, move away from the line of fire. Then grab his hand, attack him and take his gun away. If you do not move away from the line of fire, in case he shoots you, that would be bad news. You have to be pretty fast to defend yourself.
