Hi,
How there is no [tag] for your post on the blockchain? Are you posting through some app?

yeah, its a test post for my new website... on steemit at least, it looks like there is one tag... the category 'combustor', but if an app was reading the tag info just through the JSON metadata, it might not see any tags.

Yes, that's how I've found it.
I'm writing my notification app and it has thrown an error because no tag seen for your post:)
Thanks for the clarification:)

to be slightly more specific (because im a nit) there really is no such thing as a 'tag' on the blockchain. That is an arbitrary way steemit.com looks at and interprets the JSON metadata that it sends to the blockchain when users post. One could just as easily submit a list of kremflarks with every post as a list of tags.

Every post does have a 'root title', which most apps automatically make the first tag as well. Thats why steemit.com shows this post as having a tag 'combustor', but https://steemit.com/created/combustor does not show it. Apparently, steemit does the same thing you are doing -- it just looks at the JSON and not the root title.

Thanks, for being a nit! That's how i learn:)
Yes, i've noticed that it is not in "created" category.

Does that means that the 'root title' is not in the JSON at all?

I'm having difficulties with building the proper link for replies because I can not include the 'root title'. In posts the 'root title' is the parent_permlink but with comments/replies it is not a solution.
