No, it's not the 2005 Japanese GP or winning the 2007 Driver's Championship. Indeed, it has nothing to do with racing, so you need not know anything about Formula 1. Though I will leave some highlights from his greatest moment as a driver.
Indeed, this post is not about his driving but about his comedy. Kimi Raikkonen is perhaps the funniest man in all of sport. Unimpressed by the banal questions from the interviewers, he answers with the most deadpan quips possible. Here are some classic samplers to get you in the mood -
Interviewer: “The helmet has a special meaning for many drivers. How important is it to you?”
Kimi: “It protects my head.”
Interviewer: ”What makes TAG Heuer [his sponsor] special?”
Kimi Raikkonen: “It’s okay.”
Interviewer: “What kind of a relationship do you have with Peter Sauber?”
Kimi: “He is my boss.”
Interviewer: ”Do you have any special rituals when the helmet is concerned like many have?”
Kimi: “I wipe it so that I can see better.”
Interviewer: "Describe yourself in one word?"
Kimi: "Normal"
Interviewer bursts out laughing, baffled.
But perhaps his entire approach to interviews summed up -
Interviewer: “The most exciting moment during the race weekend?”
Kimi: “I think so it’s the race start, always.”
Interviewer: “The most boring?”
Kimi: “Now.”
His greatest moment, however, came in the 2006 Brazilian GP. It was a historic race. It was Kimi's last for McLaren. It was Michael Schumacher's last race before retirement. It was one final showdown between Schumacher and Alonso - fighting it out for the 2006 championship. To mark the occasion, legendary footballer Pele himself came out and made a speech for Schumacher - the most successful driver in the history of the sport.
The whole world was watching. Except Kimi.
Martin Brundle, F1's top pundit, came out to the grid right after the speech, to find Kimi.
Martin Brundle: “Kimi, you missed the presentation by Pele.”
Kimi Raikkonen: “Yeah.”
MB: “Will you get over it?”
KM: “Yeah. I was having a shit.”
Classic!
Let's not forget the "I know what I'm doing" Lotus message... instant meme...

I’d rather be probably out of second and third place so I don’t have to go to the prize-giving.”
