Little Things That Annoy Me Challenge (Comedy Open Mic 44)

Intro

So, I was challenged by @filotasriza3 to take part in this challenge. He started this challenge after reading @eliakon's pet peeves post. So here is my take on this. As I was writing this post, it got kinda comedic, and I decided to copy @filotasriza3 and submit it to Comedy Open Mic too! This is my first Comedy Open Mic Submission

Repeating the same thing over and over again

The other day, I was in a cafe with a friend. We were talking about possible business stuff when my mom called. I love my mom, but she can really make me angry!

So she started telling me about a problem she had with a public organization. Giving me the full details, while I was in the middle of what was an informal business talk. Yeap, the full details folks. The conversation (or, dare I say, monologue) lasted 13 minutes. Around the 10 minute mark, she finished talking about the problem. And she starts again from the beginning, telling me the same thing she just finished. After a couple of tries (more like 20), I finally was able to tell her "You told me that".

(M = Mom, D = Me)
-M- What?
-D- You've just concluded telling me that.
-M- Oh, okay.
10 seconds of awkward silence
-M- So how are you?
-D- Fine, I'm out for coffee
-M- Why didn't you say so?

And the phone call ended there. It's not just her though. I can't listen to the same things over and over again! Doesn't matter if you told me about it a few days ago or just now, it's too painful for my existence after hearing it for the 5th time and onwards!

Putting your cutlery in my plate!

A few years back, I was working the graveyard shift at a Pie (Mpougatsa) shop. A good friend of mine paid me a visit, and since it was a slow night, he decided to stay for a few hours. At some point I got hungry, so I cut a piece of pizza in small pieces and started eating it, enjoying it together with a double espresso lungo, when my friend was all like: "Hey, did you see that?"

So I made the mistake of turning the other way to see. By the moment I returned to resume eating my pizza, he was chewing on a piece, with a burst of evil laughter. He wasn't a stranger, we've been hanging out almost daily for more than a couple of years.

I countered his evil laughter, with one of the evilest looks I've ever given to a fellow human! I'm not against food sharing. It's just a thing of politeness for me, so just ask first, please!

Watching TV with high enough volume to wake the grandpa without his hearing aid, 3 floors above!

The other day I was eating with a couple of friends at their place, and they decided that we should watch TV. Ok, cool, no problems there. But OHMYGODWASITLOUD! I couldn't hear the spoon hitting the plate. Scratch that, I couldn't hear my thoughts! Dude, you're not in a movie theater! It's just us, 3 people... and all the dead people that got resurrected by that volume!

Touching me after...

(i) petting your pet

I get it, you love your pet. I love animals too, I have 2 dogs. I also had a bunny as a pet. But dude. Come one. Don't touch my face (or my hands as I'm touching myse..erm face, way too much)! Too many bacteria!

(ii) picking your nose

This is like THE disgusting thing. Ok, you've stuffed your nose with your finger, like there's no tomorrow. It's not like you did it carefully, in private, so I couldn't see you. You violated your nose more than a guy, who loves rough sex, violates his significant other when they haven't seen each other for more than a month! Why on earth would I want to touch you? Baby-wipes much? :P
