We find ourselves deep in Gotham Sewers. One of Batman’s most feared villains calls home to the darkness. Bearing the casts on his arms from his latest fight that landed him into Arkham...
Killer Croc can’t forget his recent brawl with...
Bird catches up with Bane to give him an update on Batman’s condition… and so does Robin. Hanging underneath the train he can hear the conversation below. It becomes clear now who was behind the breakout, his plans to takeover the city and who he’s going to take out. Batman. Robin tries to radio him but he’s not responding. Exhausted from handling Zsasz still who is now under GCPD custody.
Tonight on The Harry Mann Show with special guest Dr Simpson Flanders
Harry: “There was a breakout of psychos at Arkham just a couple days ago and you think you got the fix-it. What is it?”
Dr. Flanders: “Harry, the city is in a panic and these mentally divergent folks only see that that’s how we act in society.”
H: “So what? Are you saying if everybody would just calm down, so will these loose inmates?”
Dr. F: “...
H: “Mentally divergent? Folks? Lifestyles!? You think killing people is a lifestyle??”
Bane takes off into the city leaving his lackeys only communicating by radio now. Robin hot on his tail doing his surveillance. Bane hops on the roof of a train. Time for some old fashioned foot chasing.
Caught like a bird in a net. Blindfolded, he comes to to the sounds of rushing water and a familiar voice. Bane admits he did not imagine him being a nuisance but would let him go if he gives up info the Batman. An immature Robin will not give him up. A single misstep and Bane has Robin by his ankle.
Robin is thrown across the catwalk, barely staying on. He climbs to his feet. All of a sudden his blindfold is removed and he’s confronted with the other heavy breathing foe… Killer Croc. Robin has had better days. He’s not who he’s looking for. In fact, he doesn’t even want Batman. He wants Bane. Then drops from the ceiling with an atomic elbow BAAAAAAANNEE!!!!!
Croc wants revenge for the broken arms Bane gave him all those issues back that I mentioned in my other Knightfall post too. Robin unties himself while these muscleheads duke it out. Just as he gets up the walkway gives out sending all of them into the water.
JQ Review
It's nice to get an answer to these couple references to a previous fight before Knightfall between Bane and Killer Croc. The artwork in this issue is phenominal. Each flows into the next just as the writing. Some hidden surprises as well I didn't mention above. So, be sure you get your hands on it if you want every detail of the fall of the caped crusader.

Also, love Jim Balent, the art in this issue in particular looks like him in his prime.
