san diego comic con 2020, here i come!

Alrighty geeks, this lucky ducky had the family and friends frontline on computers this morning and is now registered to attend SDCC 2020!

If you missed pre-registration, you can prepare for open registration. Get your comic con ID and be in the system here: https://www.comic-con.org. You will get your special links and codes needed during open registration. To guarantee success, get your frontline of folks ready at a laptop line up. My family has registration down to a science! We had half a dozen computers among family and friends landing our posse into the virtual waiting room.

It’s not easy to get badges alone if not impossible and discouraging. I can’t impress enough how much posse power you need. Badges can sell out within 20 minutes. Your hands will shake as you wait and finally can type in your information to buy passes. Comic con runs for 5 days. I was lucky to land a consecutive 4 days badge. My friend could only get Thursday and Sunday for himself. He will have to hope that he can get Friday and Saturday passes during open registration. Otherwise, there is still tons to do in the surrounding area next to the convention hall that doesn’t require a badge. You can get free swag and food and even tickets for cocktails for all of Downtown San Diego turns into a geek fest. I came across this cosplay Spock while walking around looking for a dinner spot with my brother.

Just make sure you lock down on a place to stay. Yup...even if you don’t have a badge to comic con yet. Live long and prosper.
