I own all GI Joe's through about the first 70 books. Loved them as a kid and totally grew up on this stuff. This was some of the first reading that I really got and understood. The family fued between Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow. One of my favorite origin stories!

The movies never really captured how I felt about these stories either. Snake Eyes and Scarlett had a thing. THis was a very important set of books for me. lol What a trip.

I went back to watch the old GI JOe cartoons too on Netflix or something. Wasn't quite the same. But the books are still just as great as I remember them.
