Clay McCleod Chapman has delivered a tale worthy of a Twilight Zone episode with Absolute Carnage: Separation Anxiety #1. Helping Chapman tell this story of suspense is Brian Level (artist) and Jordan Boyd (color artist). Keeping with my Symbiote theme as of late, an encounter with Deadpool has led some of the Symbiotes to merge as a Hybrid and bond with man's best friend.

While outside the house where her parents are arguing, Sadie notices a stray dog hanging in her neighborhood. Her mom is preparing to move Sadie and her brother Billy away from their father. Inviting the dog into her Colorado home, Sadie wishes that her parents could stop fighting and things could go back to the way they used to be. Understanding this, the Hybrid quickly takes her parents forcing her to grab her brother and find a place to hide in the house.

In between all the mayhem, a neighbor stops mowing his lawn to ring the doorbell to see if the family was okay. This obviously doesn't bode well for him. As a matter of fact, he is served up as dinner a short while later. Before that scenario plays out, Billy is also taken. The Hybrid needs to make the family unit complete so that they can reunite with Knull.

As the issue closes out this twisted tale, Sadie is eventually taken by the Hybrid. Now, the entire family can be seen loading up the car for their trip to New York. I am sure that they are planning to meet up with Carnage, one way or another. The Absolute Carnage series has opened up numerous possibilities for storylines involving our favorite Symbiotes.
