The town of Doverton, Colorado, has been dealing with the wrath of Carnage in Absolute Carnage: Lethal Protectors #2. Written by Frank Tieri, this issue also has Flaviano as its artist, with Federico Blee handling the color work. Each of the different writers and artists that have been working on this series have added something unique to the story.
We begin this issue with John Jameson already under Carnage's control. Misty Knight was captured, but to avoid becoming Shriek's dinner, she had to escape with the help of her bionic arm. She is not out of the woods, as she is still travelling the sewers in an effort to get some help. Why does she need help? This is definitely a numbers game as Carnage's crew is massive and running rampantly throughout this underground hell.
Misty eventually finds herself in a position to call Iron Fist. Realizing that he won't be able to rescue Misty by himself, he summons Firestar, Cloak and Dagger and Morbius. Showing up to the party just in time to cause some damage is one of the Deathloks. Never knowing which Deathlok that you are going to have to deal with, Henry Hayes introduces himself as the one that you need to watch your back against this time. With a team in place, they are ready to take their battle to an area that you may think the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles would be more familiar with. This is another story that appears to be setting up the reader for a wild ride.
