CommentWealth Week 2 UpdatesteemCreated with Sketch.

CommentWealth has been up and running for two weeks now, and we can report some good things!

In addition to the discouraging scripts we use to respond to spam comments, CommentWealth has enjoyed the act of curating unmanaged comment threads. Here's a great example of how we reward valid, engaging comments with upvotes, moving them above the spam:

Again, we'd like to say thank you for the SP delegations CommentWealth received from @geke, @lexiconical, @jimitations, and @daoine-sidhe. Our total SP currently sits at around 3,500. It's thanks to this infusion of Steem Power that we're able to curate those unmanaged threads and move valid comments up above the spam. And we're always looking for more delegations, if you're looking for ways to apply your generosity!

Curation rewards continue to amaze! We mentioned last week that we suspected comment curation would be more lucrative than post curation, especially for minnows. And while our main @geke and @jimitation accounts see post curation rewards that often hover between $0.001 and $0.009, you can see below that our comment curation earns 10 times that average!

We hope this encourages others, especially minnows, to make sure to curate the wealth hidden in comment threads!

Again, once we grow past minnow and dolphin status, our goal is to begin flagging spam. Please help us get there by upvoting our weekly updates, upvoting our comments, and following our activity!

Please let us know your thoughts on our Steemit service in... the comments! It's where community happens.

This seems like a great Project and for minnows with few followers quality commenting and making friends is a great first step to forging connections on steemit. Ironic that the first comment dropped here was a spam bot sighs.

It's actually our first comment spam! Kind of exciting, really. And since it was ours, we decided to attempt our first flag! We went small, at just 10%. But onward and upward! Yes, we hope we can help minnows in others ways too, like handling the unpleasant job of responding to and flagging spam. That way, they can just focus on their positive comments.

I just got my first cornholio in one of my threads, first time I flagged :(

Damn - if it wasn't for following that link to the minnow guide to comment curation, I'd still have no idea how all this works. I'm sure I'd been doing this comment curation thing entirely wrong since day one.

Thank you so so much for that. And, as many noted here and elsewhere, nifty initiative, this, and much needed in any social space, especially one where currency of any kind gets awarded.

Great initiative, and so important. Just creating awareness is amazing but you do so much more.

I'm happy to see this initiative is progressing nicely!

Sir really so nice steemit working, thanks for good sharing ..

Bot scripts are one step above spam. So here's the thing: comments are where community happens on Steemit. We hope you'll work on developing some human commenting skills that address specific aspects of the posts you comment on. Sharing our personal, specific, human reactions is how we build our community!
