Its been about two months since i joined this platform, the first time i heard about it was in a meet up at #malhub, we have about three speakers telling us their experiences about steemit @autofreak @jalasem i forgot the last speakers name, i was convinced and i fell inlove believing i can actually publish my writeups and ideas here and just get money... I wrote my introductory post and i barely got 0.05 sbd, i was surprised, i had about 15 people upvote that post and it still doesnt give more than 0.05?, then i discover there are still more to learn, i then write posts and i barely get 0.02 on my posts. Then i remember i use to upvote and resteem every post i come across even though my votes had no values, i use to follow everyone i met, i dont even know anything about reputations, today i have been able to understand some techniques that might help in doing it right here. I have met so many good hearted people on here, people who are ready to listen to my complaints and instruct me to do things the best way they should be done, steemit needs some study, it needs some devotion, it requires some time.
- Follow the right set of people
- Write good content, take your time to write whatever content you have to push here, the rules says original contents, no plagiarisms. If you need to attach a picture or content that is not originally created by you, make sure you make reference to the source.
- Add the best tags to your posts, watchout for the tags you use, findout the ones that works, you have just five chances, if you waste the spaces, you may not get anything in return.
- Respond well to comments on your post and appreciate each people who had that to give you feedback on your posts.
- Participate in other peoples posts too, right good comments, avoid spammy comments,
- Meet new people and ask questions, there are a lot of discord channels, telegram channels and whatsapp groups that have a lot of people that are willing to answer your questions,
- If you are a newbie, post more than you resteem, but you can make as much genuine comments as you want.
Note: these steps are just my own observations and what i think could make it easy for the new people, they are things i discovered on my own, if i am right or wrong in one or two points that i made, please correct me, am willing to know more and new things about steemit because i love this guy so much.
