If you remember, some days ago, I wrote about the contest @theycallmedan was holding, at the end of which 10k SP would be delegated for one year to the winning community or project.
Well, it ended!
I haven't followed up on the excitement, but it seems it was a really close fight.
Winner was declared the @votovzla community, which came on strong during the final hours. From a presentation post of theirs, we discover the following (translated from Spanish via Google):
We are a group of Venezuelans, who unite diverse talents to give Steem users a better experience. We contribute ideas, so that the growth of the community is organic. Votovzla makes connections with different projects and users of the different countries that live on the steem blockchain.
Mission:
Offer a better experience to the Venezuelan users on the steem blockchain, rewarding them for their talent and for doing what they like best.
They fought to the end with @team-cn, which is a Chinese writing and speaking community aiming to onboard new people to the Steem blockchain, much like @steemonboarding, and have done that for quite some time. More details about them you can find here.
The third community which was involved with the chance to win right up until the final day was @steemitbloggers a.k.a. Powerhouse Creatives. It was also the only international community of the three who was close to the jackpot.
I haven't found an official post to state that, but they seem to support quality posts for "great writers, artists, musicians, poets, foodies and life bloggers" in the Steemitbloggers community, as I discovered in a post from @niko3d.
They received during the competition the support of many, including two of the contest runners who dropped out of the race and directed their support to them: @freewritehouse and @qurator.
In the end, this support was rewarded, because while they didn't win the delegation from @theycallmedan, they received a matching 10k delegation for 6 months from @bluemist via @appreciator.
From the 10 final running contestants, there still remained two I didn't know what they are about and I thought I should list my findings here as well: @crowdmind seems to want to harness the power of the crowd in multiple ways, and if you want to learn more about it, they have a website.
The other one is too new and doesn't even state anything about their intentions on the account, thus I don't think at this time I can say anything about it.
I read somewhere that @steemitbloggers won but I guess it wasn't official.

Yes, that's how bluemist announced his 10k delegation: "Surprise win for PowerHouseCreatives aka Steemitbloggers". Maybe that's where you read it. But in his post, he describes what happened. I don't have the link here on my phone, but I shared it in the post.
