RISE! African Views! Seun Kuti For All My Awesome Nigerian Friends On Steemit & Beyond!

in community-support •  7 years ago  (edited)

Spreading great, meaningful lyrics, moving songs and hot, very hot rhythms!

This day I felt the need to just spread real music again and shout out to all African Steemians! I read so many incredible articles coming from this fantastic continent!

While I am writing, I listen and blast Fela Kuti, my all time favourite but there are many brilliant musicians from Africa!

The truth is Fela Anikulapo never dies, he lives on with his and his children's music.

What Fela stood against across Africa, Nigeria in particular, that made many to call him a mad-crazyman, are still very much our problems today.

This coming weekend I am lucky to go to the very popular "Africa Tage Festival " here in Vienna!

Music, I grew up with.

Music of my best friends country!

Music, I used to dance to for many nights.

MILES DAVIS , FEMI KUTI and JAZZ

Music, I worked with.

My Past Life on TOUR and on Stage with **MILES DAVIS & FEMI KUTI** Photo taken in Italy 1984 - Music is my Passion !

Bonus from Seun's father Fela Anikulapo Kuti as the answer of dear @oluwoleolaide , an incredibly author of many interesting articles where he shares his culture and serious thoughts

IS THE WORD "SIR" A SLAVE WORD?

An excellent selection of videos @mammasitta, African musicians pleased with their style and music, especially against the Second Slavery :)

I am so glad that you appreciate this article and music, a strong voice!

Yes, I listen to it, because in old songs there is a special soul :)

very nice post

Did you like the music ?

It is wonderful how all the cultures in the world are related to one or another kind of music. Life would be so dull without it :)

I've always embraced the whole world and jumped right into various cultures, even tried to live IT full on but somehow I realized that I can't deny my own western, typical European, especially Austrian upbringing. I guess the older you get the more you find the way back to your roots.

great music loved it. you can't resist to hear full track.

I always start singing Chop your Dollar for my African audience:

I don't listen so much to music and only know this song and a few others from Africa

I might know those men , this movie and one of the best African artists, Salif Keita

Awesome music @mammasitta Thank you for sharing.

greeting from morocco thank you so much for this post

You actually said it.great job
