Hello fellow Steemians & Dreamians. You may be thinking, what the heck is Steemit Dreamit? Well, I'd be happy to answer that for you. It is my brain child. Currently we are a group on Facebook. Maybe one day we will have our own Steemit page but there's some things I need to iron out for that first.
I digress. Steemit Dreamit is a group of Dreamians who understand the value of authenticity in their posts. They understand it's not cool to take pictures and words and not give credit for them or act as though they are their own content.
"If you can dream it you can steemit! Dreams are orginal, so should your steemit postings be"
We want people to understand the value of this line of thinking. It's valuable because you are then able to gain organic followings of people.
While it's not against the rules to have paid bots and other fake boosters, it is also not encouraged. You really need to be garnering attention from actual followers. The occasional boost is totally fine by the way!!
I don't like rules, so I didn't make many....
- No upvote for upvote
- No follow for follow
- No asking for votes & resteems
- No spamming
Not bad right? Common sense stuff! Another thing I would like you to take note of, did I say you have to upvote everyone in the group? No! There is absolutely no expectations for you to upvote anyone!
While it is nice to see community engagement and Dreamians supporting & encouraging one another, it is not a requirement nor will it get you kicked from the group. The only thing that'll get ya booted, which I already mentioned, would be the begging and asking for upvotes, follows, resteems, & spamming. Even then, I will not make a public spectacle out of you. I've seen other groups do that, and it is nothing short of middle school behavior. I only publically "out" gross misconduct like hate speech, saying you are going to go on a murderous rampage, or say, very harmful spam acts such as trying to capitalize off a deceased person you didn't know. Those are just examples.
So what's it take to be in the hall of fame?
- Be a member of Steemit Dreamit fb group
- Please post all your blogs there - that's not a strict requirement, but it helps me make sure I don't miss your content because we all know how things can get buried in your steemit feed.
- I will notice how genuine a person you come across to be. I will take note of your overall community engagement and support.
What I don't give a crap about:
- Your rep (unless below 25)
- How long you've been on steemit
- If you are a minnow, dolphin, or whale
- Your wallet
Every month I do a writeup for a worthy Dreamian. @miriamslozberg made last month and also our first ever HOF induction.
Whoever is selected will get HALF the induction post payout, not to exceed 25SBD. I will make some kind of neat digital art that you can keep as a "badge" of sorts if you want.
You may be wondering why I don't require people to vote on each other's stuff YET, I still look at community engagement in the hall of fame induction. I don't require people to vote on each other's stuff because that is not authentic. Vote on it if you want to. I do look to see your community engagement as a whole though - i.e. do you give your voters and commenters the time of day, or just ignore them because you got a vote from them? Do you make an effort to help others or just yourself?
Alright, that about wraps up this post. Would love to hear from you over in steemit dreamit. Always looking for more Dreamian friends! If you have any questions or comments, please chime in.

I am interested. How do you feel about cross-posting your steemit original content to Insta and Facebook?

I think that's fine! It's just a way of promoting yourself & the steemit platform =)

Great initiative. I am joining the group soon. Thinking along the same lines to something here in Pakistan. That surely showed me some direction :) thanks for that!

I love that upvoting and following isn't a requirement. An organic following of people who are drawn to your co tent feels so much more....authentic.

I went through FB and left all the groups that require upvote for upvote or follow for follow. When I first started steemit, I thought it was a good idea but I quickly felt obligated to upvote or follow people and posts that didn't resonate with me. I dropped that strategy like a hot 🥔

Good for you. No one should feel obligated to upvote or follow someone they're not interested in

Well, I don't have a ton of original content anymore because I just don't have the time, but I'd love to be a part of this as well. I'll be adding your group to my FB feed, though, if you wanted to get away from the Zucker Reich, you might consider starting your own Discord server. :)
