YES, THE MARKET IS DOWN AGAIN.
This time UpBit made it to the negative news that brought the market down.
UpBit is under investigation for alleged fraud
HOWEVER,THIS IS ONLY A MINIMAL PART OF THE PROBLEM.
The FUD (Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt), that news like this carry with is like a punch on the jaw to many of the newcomers in the crypto-world, is another part of the problem, however, the LOTTERY TICKET MENTALITY is the main reason for this phenomena to happen.
Blockchain, the technology that gave birth to the miracle of Cryptocurrency seems to be at the last page of the instruction booklet that the new investors never cared to read, never heard of it or never seen it. People come to Crypto for one reason and only one purpose, that is, “to become rich as soon as possible”.
They expect their new purchased coins to double in price, then buy a different one and they expect that one to double up in price also, they hope for the market to keep going up always, and as soon as they see the market lose a couple of billion dollars, BAAAM, they either cash out or sell their coins for Tether.
Is there anything wrong with this?, No. Every one should have and follow their own expectations, it’s just that the market doesn’t work like that. If everyone understands Blockchain Technology, everyone could see where this technology is going, we are at the Verge of something HUGE. This is the Apple Company of the 1980’s, the Amazon of 1994, the EBay of 1995, the Facebook of 2004 or the Tesla of 2005. Just as it happened to these companies, Cryptocurrencies will need a lot more time to mature.
If only people can understand that Bitcoin and the whole concept of decentralization which Blockchain is all about started in 2008-2009, that Ethereum, the second largest Cryptocurrency just started in 2016, then maybe they could understand and comprehend baby Crypto like SmartCash that was just born in July of 2017 and now has over13,000 SmartNodes, and Crypto that is due for birth in June of 2018 like EOS. If people focus on understanding the concept of Blockchain, I’m sure they can get as motivated as I am and millions of other fellas are.
Yes we are on the verge of something HUGE but as long as people keep coming into Crypto with the lottery ticket mentality, the extreme fluctuations in the market will continue holding hands with FUD as well as breaking the hearts of lots of people that decided to live ignoring the very concept that can free them from misery and provide a brighter future to their families as BLOCKCHAIN AND CRYPTOCURRENCY will.

you're gonna have that 'lottery ticket mentality' wherever there is profit. it's just how the market works. so i don't think it's all that bad. speculation is also part of what drives prices up and brings it to the masses. we just have to be careful as individuals to protect our assets.

i see what you're saying. but to that definition, the entire wallstreet and the rest of the financial industry have no investors. the only difference is that these 'professionals' have the resources to manipulate the market or are in bed with the government (or with criminal organizations - both literal and figurative). all it means is that they're gambling and having fun. they're simply covered. we're not. i'm just saying they're not true investors either 😃
