Joined for the Rewards - Stayed for the Fun!

Fun or just Rewards - this is The Question!

Are you here for earning fiat, crypto, reputation, self-affirmation or why did you join? Think most of us came to Steemit as there was a promise out there that you can earn these things that make your life easier. Someone telling youth are on Steemit as of the good feeling and to be social - IS a liar! Kick his ass or balls!

The community here contains of a lot different mindsets and people. As much as I would like to meet and get to know everyone - it is not possible. The day has 24 hours only - your voting power is draining after certain amount of voting and you can not post, comment and engage via the other apps on this awesome platform more than 24 hours - DO YOU AGREE?

What Are my Learnings?

Well - in a nutshell: A pot of totally different people coming along for the community aspect! Sometimes flags are flying, sometimes naughty comments and interactions take place! At least 90% of the interaction is positive - I also count in the people that only comment a "nice saying" because they hope you give them a vote in return - but That is life, this is a MIRROR of our society.

I do think this is not a bad sign or situation! Arguments, fights and different views have to be expressed on such a platform. I am not speaking about fair distribution of the reward pool as an excuse for flags - this is important though - and this is why flags can be good!

I speak about all the discussions we are angry about sometimes - we feel why is here a flagging war, why does this whale never vote me ,wh do these whales jerk around in Circles lol?

Why can radical people say and do not get kicked out? All these talks and discussion we might take personally and think we are attacked or this model on crypto or blockchain sill shit is bad.

NOOO - THIS IS ACTUALLY GOOD!

Here is why! Because it shows - THE COMMUNITY is ALIVE. If there would be no discussion anymore - no matter how toxic it is - the platform would be DED (dead in proper English). But we all discuss everyday - on the platform, on steemit.chat, on Discord Channels! Means - we are on a good way - Steem to the MOON SOON.

Thanks for reading - HOWEVER - I only wanted to play my early Wednesday House Song - which I might postpone actually.

NAMASTE STEEMIANS

As on Tsu I came for the money and stayed for the community, but this time I made real money too! Its a double win

Exactly - good reason, good work, brilliant Steemian!

There are many reasons to be here on Steemit and one of them is @uwelang!

damn come one - stop that, flushing red!

Come for the money, stay for the community!

Darfst Du :-)

I joined to learn more about cryptocurrencies, then I started mining Ethereum, then I realized that I could make a little steem for blogging and commenting ... now, I'm here for the community.

There's something here for everyone.

i came for the rewards but in my first week i realized it was so much fun and the community was so great that the rewards where the last thing i cared!

Same here - my first weeks / months were a disaster reward wise. I had to learn a lot

Rewards are certainly a positive but they're just that, a reward, something to earn.

I've a long history of failed blogging and I like the fact Steemit allows me to share 'stuff' with random people (and friends) and in return I get an endless flow of 'stuff' to search. At the same time I get to do this without having to manage a blog.

I joined Steemit because I wanted to learn and understand better the world of cryptocurrency and I also wanted to have a blog! i really enjoy this community and created some friendships here and reward system is awesome, so STEEEMIT TO THE MOON! Cheers @uwelang

A friend invited me. I just joined. No clue what is going on here yet.

The same)))

you really know how to put a smile on someones face.your doing an amazing work sir.love you

You are just right! I think most people joined, because they saw, that you can get crypto. And well.. when you get crypto you get money.

When someone asks you if you want some money, would you say no?

Would you say no? I think not. But don't get me wrong, I also would not say no. Why should I do this? When you have money, then you have power...

That is sad, but true.

In germany, we say: "Money rules the world" (Geld regiert die Welt)

So yeah... I came for rewards.. but I recognized, that is fun to write articles. And also the people I got to know, in the commentary section or on discord are just kind!

So yeah I came for rewards, but I will stay cause this is fun!

Nice post, you've got one new follower!

Thanks for this posting...

I'm loving it here on Steemit. It took me a long time to post and start learning the ropes, but now I'm on here every day. It's really exciting and it feels like I've joined a party that is in full swing and is still going to go on for a LONG time :D

I think that I can agree with you in general. But one thing that I really like about this platform is that the percentage of stupid comments, flaming, trolling and discrimination is way smaller than on YouTube for example. To be honest I haven't seen any of those before.
Reading comments on YouTube can make me feel really aggressive that's why I'm not doing it anymore. Although there are a lot of bots acting on this platform which I don't like...

Nice thoughts. I came here for an alternative to Facebook and the likes. Learning fast this is not the quick fix, get rich and move on kind of thing.. its hard when I dont have the time to produce the high quality posts Id like, but still this is a nicer place to be. Its not about the (D)ash, digital cash.. Im trying this place again because it doesnt leave a strange taste is my month like Facebook Google and youtube do. Keep on rocking in a Free world my friend!

When I talk to my friends, and I tell them I earned some money here at first they don't belive me. Then I show them and they want to try it, but after 3,4 or 5 posts if they don't see any money they usually quit. That is a big problem, yes here is some "easy" money but you still need to earn it. If we would using Steemit as we use Facebook or Instagram or similiar the world would be a better place xD

Unfortunately, the community is becoming more and more complex with a lot of people only interested in the money. Fun is fast fading. I just hope I'm the only one experiencing this.

Think it is not the community to become complex but more spammers that add no major value here and just want the rewards, which is human - the community has to deal with that by using the tools available.

Hi guys! What do you think about non-English speakers in steemit? Is there any?
Besides learning English I can't see other ways to stay social here. Google translator doesn't work I think. Or may be I'm wrong?

Same here! I was invited my my friend Chiara Francica to earn Steem as another crypto currency, but I also stayed because of the amazing community! There are some seriously talented people on Steemit, for sure! I still have a lot to learn to earn rewards myself, but the community makes it worth the time. Thanks for this post!!

Is there a way I give away all my earnings for more readers? I just joined this motherfucker 2 days ago and don't have readers. Not likes or money or whatever praises. Readers. almost nada...
